2000T Terrace Door Options Have Expanded after Successful Tests

With the 2010 hurricane season in full swing and the effects of years past still dominating the coastal regions, new technologies for weatherproof building are at an all-time high demand. To further increase our own high-performance and severe-weather-resistant offering, we are constantly testing new products and redeveloping current ones. After releasing the redesigned 2000T Terrace Door in 2009, we didn’t stop there; additional testing and product development continued and we are now offering even more options for this popular product.

We successfully tested the door for hurricane-impact resistance according to the standards set forth in the Florida Building Code (TAS 201, TAS 202 and TAS 203) and ASTM impact and cycle protocols and test standards (ASTM E1886 and ASTM E1996).

Additionally, the newest option for the 2000T Terrace Door is the low-profile sill, which is available for the single door leaf, outswing configuration. The low-profile sill was tested to the following performance levels: Class AW-PG90 per AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-08 (NAFS) and A3/B5/C5 per CSA 440.
