During our April 13 Customer Webinar, we discussed Kawneer’s commitment to becoming a National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) Manufacturer Approved Calculation Entity (ACE), which would enable customers to use Kawneer for ACE calculations in 2011. Following through on that pledge, we are pleased to announce that Kawneer is now a NFRC Manufacturer ACE.

So what does this mean to our customers? For situations where state energy codes dictate a third-party certification (Washington state as well as parts of Utah and California), Kawneer can now be utilized as the third-party CMA Label Certificate supplier.

When do I need third-party certification versus a manufacturer’s certification?

How does third-party certification versus a manufacturer’s certification compare?

For more information on the most recent developments to the NFRC requirements and specifics of the certification process, visit nfrc.org.  You can also visit cmast.nfrc.org where you can search for and find existing Kawneer label certificates, certified products, approved glazing, frame or spacer components.

When you have projects that require “Third-Party Certifications,” and wish to use Kawneer as your third-party NFRC “Approved Calculation Entity” (ACE), contact your local sales representative for assistance with coordinating pricing and CMA Label Certificates.
