Kawneer Sustainable Ad Awarded “Best in Class” by Architectural Record Magazine

Architectural Record recently recognized Kawneer as “Best in Class” in the 14th Annual Excellence in Advertising Awards, presented along with McGraw Hill Construction. The advertisement demonstrates Kawneer’s commitment to sustainable design and construction while also creating solutions that address the growing needs of the institutional market. Featuring clean lines and a minimalist design with the image of a red apple “built” from facts about building sustainability, the ad was developed to support Kawneer’s “Every Day You Make A Choice. Make A Choice That Counts” message. The design emphasizes the value of building a healthy, efficient and effective environment through knowledge, specifically the understanding of sustainable building and design.

Individual and overall winners were selected by a jury of eight industry professionals from a pool of over 150 eligible advertisements. Judges commented on the ad as a great example of thinking “outside the box” and a “different way to communicate messages.” Added another judge, “I gave it high marks for aesthetics; it stopped me in my tracks and compelled me to read more. I read every word of it, yet it never even showed you the product.”
