In 2008 as Alcoa’s Global Sourcing Manager, Sara’s efforts were recognized with an Alcoa Excellence and Innovation award for implementing a Metal Service Center strategy that helped increase company savings. Her other accomplishments at Alcoa include procurement and negotiations that achieved positive working capital. |
Fluent in Spanish, much of Sara’s experience comes from positions she held in Quality & Supplier Development for Tier 1 Automotive suppliers in Río Bravo, Tamaulipas, México and Detroit, Michigan. Bringing over 15 years of experience in such related fields as plant management, marketing and quality engineering, it’s no surprise that Sara has enjoyed success in her previous companies and with Alcoa. We’re excited to have Sara bring her knowledge and expertise to our team and know that she will make a big impression in her new role at Kawneer. Although Sara is now based out of Kawneer’s Norcross, Georgia headquarters, she still hopes to find time to pay a visit to her alma mater — the University of Michigan. Now, as the 2010 football season opens with a renovated stadium that used several different Kawneer products, Sara will have an even deeper connection to the game-day experience and a living reminder of the way her work affects fans and visitors every day of the year. |
