Kawneer Highlights Commitment to People, Expands Talent Throughout North America

In the last issue of Connections, we addressed a key element to maintaining our industry leadership: the ability to hire and cultivate talented employees. We can only deliver high-performing, leading-edge products, systems and solutions to the people that matter externally – our customers and architects – by internally making people a priority. Therefore, we are constantly building a team of talented, creative and service-oriented people. We continue to foster the growth of our current employees and expand our pool of talent throughout North America, and would like to introduce you to some of the newest members of our team:

Ian began his career with Kawneer in 2006 in estimating and sales for Traco Windows. After spending time as a project manager and estimator with several aluminum fenestration contractors, Ian rejoined the Kawneer team as an architectural window specialist. In this position, Ian is responsible for aluminum window system design-build assistance, detail recommendations, specification consultation, AIA continued education training programs and customer support in the New England and Eastern New York markets.

A graduate of Triangle Technical School in Pittsburgh, Ian holds an associate degree in construction technology. In his free time, Ian enjoys fishing.

Greg is the architectural sales representative for the Manitoba and Saskatchewan area and is responsible for the promotion and sales of Kawneer products and services.

Greg brings more than 19 years of diverse experience and knowledge to Kawneer. Previously, Greg worked with both DOW Building Solutions and Tremco/Weatherproofing Technologies in Winnipeg. Through his industry work, Greg has developed a strong understanding of the architectural and technical facets of roofing, building envelope products and systems, and project management within both residential and commercial construction. Greg enjoys spending time with family and friends, the great outdoors, and is a very committed hockey and soccer dad.

Michael is an architectural sales representative for the Twin Cities market and is responsible for the successful promotion and sales of the Kawneer windows product portfolio. In his new role, Michael will consult and service architects, designers and contractors on Kawneer’s architectural line of window systems and products.

A 20-year veteran of the construction materials sales industry, including lumber, custom wood trim and door sales for residential building, he later transitioned to architectural windows, glass and glazing for the commercial construction field working as an architectural sales consultant for Traco from 2007–2010 and in 2012.

 

Danette_LucasDanette Lucas

Danette has joined Kawneer as an architectural sales representative for the Southern California region. In this role, she is responsible for the successful promotion and sales of Kawneer’s extensive portfolio of products.

Danette brings a wealth of experience in the commercial construction industry to her new role. Most recently, she served as the architectural representative for Arcadia Architectural in Northern California.

Danette, who recently relocated from northern California to the Los Angeles area, earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Arizona State University.

 

Jennifer_SimchickJennifer Simchick

Jennifer has joined the Kawneer team as an architectural sales representative for the Wisconsin territory. In this role, she is responsible for the successful promotion and sales of the Kawneer product portfolio.

Jennifer brings more than 10 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. Most recently, she served as an architectural and specification representative for Koroseal/RJF International. Jennifer is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and has held several leadership positions with the Milwaukee CSI branch. Jennifer is also a construction document technologist and a MasterFormat® accredited instructor. Jennifer and her family live in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.

Jori was recently promoted to service center manager for our Cleveland, Ohio Service Center, where she will utilize her leadership and customer service skills to enhance sales relationships in the Cleveland area.

Since joining Kawneer in 2007 as a customer sales coordinator for the Southern Region in Austell, Georgia, Jori has exhibited strength in customer service, leadership and business. Next, Jori worked as the southern front end team lead, where she was responsible for leading project and order execution activities. Most recently, Jori served as the manager of the project management/standard projects team in Cranberry, Pennsylvania, where she was instrumental in streamlining the implementation of both standard and custom window projects. Jori holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from Texas Christian University.

Greg is the service center manager for the Midwest Service Center in Roselle, Illinois and leverages over 20 years of experience with the Kawneer brand to build and strengthen relationships in the region.

Greg brings extensive sales, customer service and service center experience to his new position. Since joining Kawneer in 1992 as a customer service coordinator in the Chicago Service Center, Greg has thrived in a variety of roles. In each, he has been committed to providing superior service to our customers. Greg made the move to the sales team, eventually becoming an architectural sales representative. He returned to the Service Center in 2010, where his continued efforts were integral to the the location’s improvements in delivery times. Greg enjoys golf, is actively involved in scouting and recently backpacked 70 miles with his Scout troop at the Philmont Scout ranch in New Mexico.

Regan was recently appointed Interim Plant Manager for the Lethbridge, Alberta facility and is responsible for the profitable growth of the Lethbridge operation.

Regan has nearly 30 years of Kawneer experience, having joined Alcoa in 1984 as a production supervisor in Springdale. He then served in several senior operations leadership roles, including manufacturing manager, windows plant manager and, most recently, operations manager. Regan holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Arkansas State University.

 

Daniel-WarderDaniel Warder

Daniel was recently named service center manager for the Kansas City Service Center located in Riverside, Missouri. In his new role, Daniel will employ his extensive customer service and shop supervision experience to grow customer and sales relationships in the Kansas City area.

Since joining Kawneer as a customer sales coordinator in 2006, Daniel has managed relationships with both customers and sales representatives to quote customer orders and address product questions. For the past year, Daniel has been transitioning to this new role as part of an in-depth succession planning process.

Daniel holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration and psychology from William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri and a master’s degree in business administration from Park University in Parkville, Missouri.
