Kawneer’s Henry Taylor Elected to Second Term as Chairman of the Glass Association of North America’s (GANA) BEC Division

For a second consecutive term, Henry Taylor, Architectural Services Team Manager for Kawneer, was elected Chairman of the Glass Association of North America’s (GANA) BEC Division. Henry brings more than 20 years of experience in glass and glazing to this position. As Chairman of BEC, Henry is committed to sharing “best practices” within the industry and hosting conferences that provide tools and training to glazing subcontractors.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Henry began his professional career in commercial construction working for a commercial developer/builder in the Atlanta area. He currently serves as Architectural Services Team Manager with Kawneer, where his responsibilities include assisting architects during project development to select the appropriate Kawneer systems, specifying the system and gathering project details. His experience includes roles ranging from working for a glazing subcontractor to working with a major glass fabricator. Additionally, Henry has held several positions within Kawneer Company as an Architectural Representative, Field Sales Representative and Product Manager for the Kawneer/Forster Partnership. Henry is married with four children and is active with local school programs, Boy Scouts, marching band and working with the youth training at his sailing club. He earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing and English from Georgia State University and his MBA in Management from Kennesaw State University.

This year, GANA’s annual three-day conference was held from March 27-29, 2011. Topics presented included “Future Energy and Green Codes,” “Training,” and “State of the Industry.” Once again Kawneer provided high-level sponsorship for the conference, playing a major role throughout.
